2014 Miss Emily's Studio Awards

This was one of my best days in Second Life and I would like to thank all that attended and all the sent well wishes that couldn't attend!!!
Each year the "simple" awards for this studio get bigger and bigger! As I have written before, the first year we didn't even have a ceremony because we didn't think anyone would attend. The second year we were shocked that 15-20 people attended and this year we have between 30-40 people attending!!

This years awards seemed like a lot more work than the last 2 years, maybe I spread myself a little to thin this year and maybe is was taking the time to build a new venue just for the ceremony along with all the other things I do, but it was all well worth it!!

I don't have a problem being in front of a large crowd, especially one in which most of them I have directed in movies and put in the most naughtiest poses, but I was very nervous the lag would be to much to even walk, or my screen would freeze up for 2/3 of the ceremony!! That didn't happen at all, everyone was able to get seated, we delivered our speeches and in the end was able to move from the stage to the lobby for the party without the clumsy lag walking into anyone or any walls.

The party afterward was a great celebration of everything the studio and the stars accomplished in 2013 and had me looking forward to diving back in to porn for 2014!!!

How to be a Great porn star

I just held my awards ceremony for the actresses and actors in my studio group that were in my films for 2013. The best actress is xMariaAmorx and best actor is Jamezz Doulton, so I thought I should share what makes them the best in 2013 in my eyes.

First off, I don’t believe 1 movie alone can give you the title of best!! It needs to be a whole body of work for the actress or actor. Not just looking good riding a pose ball for a few hours.  In 2013 xMariaAmorx was in 5 of my movies, which is 1 more than any other actress, Jamezz was in 4 of my movies which was a tie with another actor.

Dependability; many of my movies are series; here today gone tomorrow doesn’t work for recurring roles. When I cast for a series, I only look for people that have shown they well be around. The 5 movies Maria was in were large cast movies that I always invite more people to them than what comes, Maria came to them!!!

Alertness; a shoot can be very boring, I don’t chat much while filming, but that doesn’t mean you should go afk  for more than a few minutes. When I ask the actress or actor to do something while filming I expect it done in a short amount of time, not 15 minutes later with the whole cast waiting on them.

I’m probably not ready either in those so getting dressed together is no big deal. But if you know we have a shoot scheduled don’t show up with something not colored right and have us wait while you adjust it or wait while you get dressed.
